I know I'm funny, because I'm eccentric, I'm odd. I'm not what you expect.

I almost never go to the theatre without seeing someone I've taught or known at Juilliard.

I think of myself as only being an actress when I'm acting, but my friends will say I act all the time.

Although I write to entertain, and try to keep my work free of didacticism, I do have a rather passionate belief in our need to be connected to - and to learn from - history.

Doubt is part of all religion. All the religious thinkers were doubters.

My style is Edie Sedgwick meets Grace Jones, or Audrey Hepburn meets Salt 'n' Pepa. Strong and feisty but still classic.
