I was a terrible athlete and a pretty bad student. I couldn't focus. My imagination was always racing.

I don't like the vampire books. I don't like any of those.

I completely remember the horror I felt when my pits started getting hairy. I would walk with my arms pressed against my sides.

Another thing that freaks me out is time. Time is like a book. You have a beginning, a middle and an end. It's just a cycle.

Composers, like authors, have a lot in common. Our main goal is to connect with the listener emotionally.

Although I write to entertain, and try to keep my work free of didacticism, I do have a rather passionate belief in our need to be connected to - and to learn from - history.
