Yancy Butler

Yancy is actually a Native-American name, but I'm Irish. Go figure.

I'm the oldest 26-year-old I know. A lot of experience has been crammed into a short amount of time. Some days I feel a good 65, 70. Like I want to lie down.

My junior high was dreadful. I see a lot of my fellow alumni on America's Most Wanted.

I'm proud that with 'Bright Eyes' we've always experimented and tried to make a different record every time out.

I hate the bad rap that people give my parents. Because they are just parents, really, at the end of the day trying to stand up for their daughter and themselves.

At last we've seen the first installment of Joss Whedon's new web series, 'Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog,' and it's sweeter than we'd ever imagined.
