I love science fiction. I always have, ever since I was a kid. I love a lot of science fiction writers. William Gibson is one of my favorite writers.

When I was a kid, 'Blade Runner' was my favorite movie. I remember seeing that when I was a little boy with my dad.

I love science fiction when it's well-done. I don't like campy stuff. I don't like stuff that's too fantastical.

Well, I actually wrote her a letter a couple of days ago congratulating her. The tone I tried to convey in the letter is, look, you are a part of a great American historical process.

What people don't understand about Sarah Palin is that she is a rancher's wife. From Alberta down to Texas I've known women like that: good common sense, bright and vilified by city people.

It is good to be in front of the lens to appreciate more being behind the lens.
