When I look back at football, I've always said to myself, 'I'd rather leave the game and have something in my tank rather than have left all of me out on the field.'

I may see a way I want to do something, and I understand when you have a team, everybody can't do their own thing. I'm willing to put my own agenda aside to do what's best for the team.

You never want conflict. But sometimes conflict is inevitable.

After my swims this weekend I think coach realized, you know what, you have to have a good one getting out of this meet. So I put the suit on and had a decent swim.

Shaft was a pop culture figure along t he lines of, I guess, Dirty Harry - except that he wasn't as much of a racist. So yeah, I was always a fan.

I think when judges are in the position of authority, they really get bent out of shape when someone tells them they acted inappropriately.
