When you're married to someone famous, people know you, but they're not really seeing you.

There was such a lack of modern, recognizable role models for a young girl in the 1950s. I mean, 'Leave It to Beaver' didn't speak to me. That's why I latched on to music.

With any long-term relationship, you have good days and bad days.

What people don't understand about Sarah Palin is that she is a rancher's wife. From Alberta down to Texas I've known women like that: good common sense, bright and vilified by city people.

It took me realizing that a broken heart has never actually killed anyone to find the courage to ask for what I want, in just about every situation. That was part of my own growing up.

I am thrilled to get the chance to write comics - and to tell Forgotten Realms tales, to boot!
