What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, especially today when human contacts go so fast. Fashion is instant language.

I wanted to try to push some freedom into the men's clothes.

Well, I actually wrote her a letter a couple of days ago congratulating her. The tone I tried to convey in the letter is, look, you are a part of a great American historical process.

Nothing that is worth doing can be achieved in a lifetime; therefore we must be saved by hope.

It takes all kinds to make the world go 'round. If everyone was straight-laced and uptight, it would sure be a drag. We need a little tug of war in society.
