I was so nervous about 'Kingsman,' I can't tell you, because when you do things different and fresh and fun and crazy, you don't know how people are going to react.

I like villains because there's something so attractive about a committed person - they have a plan, an ideology, no matter how twisted. They're motivated.

Although I write to entertain, and try to keep my work free of didacticism, I do have a rather passionate belief in our need to be connected to - and to learn from - history.

In novelas, sometimes you get the most ridiculous situations, but you make the best of it. But novelas are a very special genre.
