Everything that has happened to me is of value to me. As painful as certain things are, and have been, and were, there's a use for those things in my life and in my work.

I'm very proud of Space 1999. Its success paved the way for other sci-fi shows to follow. My hope is that the DVD release will help it reach a new generation of fans.

I've always been interested in science fiction.

It took me realizing that a broken heart has never actually killed anyone to find the courage to ask for what I want, in just about every situation. That was part of my own growing up.

If I can add, say, 10 great new violin concertos to the repertoire before I'm done, that will be truly exciting.

I don't think they're going to pay me to play Mufasa.
