I'm not more or less conscious than any other rapper out there.

Reading a piece of poetry with no beat in front of 20 people is way more challenging than rocking for 10,000 people.

You can only watch injustice go on for so long until you're compelled to say something. To speak out against it.

Before I die, I will preach to the Muslims in the Arab world. I will preach in Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and Iran. I will preach in Tehran. I will do it under the umbrella of God. And see its impact.

Another thing that freaks me out is time. Time is like a book. You have a beginning, a middle and an end. It's just a cycle.

Well, I actually wrote her a letter a couple of days ago congratulating her. The tone I tried to convey in the letter is, look, you are a part of a great American historical process.
