I never, ever in my heart want to hurt anyone.

I don't believe it's productive to go around and badmouth anyone that I work with, because at the end of the day, we all have to sit in front of each other and agree or disagree.

I want to make my music and be a happy woman, a good wife, a good mom and one day hopefully have a child of my own.

That whole lifestyle - make a record, do a tour: I know how to do that. It doesn't interest me.

Well, I actually wrote her a letter a couple of days ago congratulating her. The tone I tried to convey in the letter is, look, you are a part of a great American historical process.

I studied international relations and economics at the University of Virginia. I paid my way by working as a bartender in the summer and at three part-time jobs during the year.
