I think it's difficult for members of Congress to be as independent as they need to be in their voting.

There aren't a whole lot of people out of 300 million who could elected to the Congress.

Well, I actually wrote her a letter a couple of days ago congratulating her. The tone I tried to convey in the letter is, look, you are a part of a great American historical process.

What I find is most people have a civics book understanding for how Congress works and how a bill moves.
