Folorunsho Alakija

I told as much of my life as I could to encourage people: to encourage others to get to where they should be, where they want to be.

I studied international relations and economics at the University of Virginia. I paid my way by working as a bartender in the summer and at three part-time jobs during the year.

It's good to like yourself, and that only comes from hard work, from doing. But vanity is dangerous; it can trip you badly.

I'm proud that with 'Bright Eyes' we've always experimented and tried to make a different record every time out.
