My mother had a lot of phobias. She's pregnant with me and she was a very phobic person. So I was born into phobia, basically.

I'm shooting a pilot based on my show. It's a one-camera show. I play myself.

Luckily there were no venomous snakes around Hoosick, N.Y., so I amassed quite a collection of milk snakes, garters, ribbons and ring-necked snakes.

I didn't want to be famous. I just wanted to earn enough money to have a nice life and enjoy acting.

I studied international relations and economics at the University of Virginia. I paid my way by working as a bartender in the summer and at three part-time jobs during the year.
