Like a lot of people my age, I grew up on Amblin movies. They're a part of who I am as a filmmaker and, arguably, as a person.

I applied everything that I could muster creatively to this mission to find a way to create a new 'Jurassic Park' movie for a new generation.

I would just encourage people: your childhood belongs to you, and don't give anyone, especially me, the power to ruin your childhood.

I think that, in almost all human beings, there is buried a profound tribal instinct that makes us very susceptible to being aroused to patriotic fervour.

I'm interested in the psychological exploration of human nature, and it just happens to come in the form of film-making.

Linear thinking typifies a highly developed industry. It starts to get these patterns built into it somehow. I'm not sure how that happens, but certainly you take a look at dinosaurs.
