I've always wanted to do a cutesy little song with a guy and girl singing back and forth and thought that Regina Spektor would be kind of cool for that. I love her voice. She's an amazing musician.

Some of my favourite record and album covers and stuff have all been the singer, and they create a character, and they dress up a little bit.

I guess if I had to classify myself, I'd say I'm straight.

I've always been very determined, ever since I was a little girl, to make my way.

There's a whole bunch of unfinished stuff. Then I've got books of lyrics. I find it frustrating to finish a song and not be able to record it... so I don't write a million songs.

Another thing that freaks me out is time. Time is like a book. You have a beginning, a middle and an end. It's just a cycle.
