My sisters have been baptized and my dad is a deacon at his church now. Sadly my mother passed away but what I can say is that the Jehovah Witnesses took very good care of her up until she died. Sherri Shepherd baptizecarechurch Change image and share on social
My grandmother taught me that accomplishments meant less than what you left behind. I started to ask myself what impact my comedy would have on people's lives. And that changed my act. I got cleaner. I stopped talking about generic stuff like airplane peanuts and started speaking the truth about my gift. Sherri Shepherd accomplishmentactairplane share on social
I love it when a woman hugs me. I love it when they say that I make them laugh because that means I'm doing what God called me to do. I love people. I love it when little old ladies come up and want to kiss me. It means so much to me that I get support and people know my heart. My fans know my heart and they get it. My father was and is a great father. My father always wanted to do stand-up. He wanted to be an actor. But instead he did two jobs. He did customer service at a hospital and he worked as a waiter at night. He pretty much sacrificed everything for his daughters. Sherri Shepherd actorcustomerdaughter share on social
I burn a lot of stuff. My son, bless his heart, eats it anyway. But he makes a face! Sherri Shepherd blessburneat Change image and share on social
I am a type-2 diabetic, and they took me off medication simply because I ate right and exercised. Diabetes is not like a cancer, where you go in for chemo and radiation. You can change a lot through a basic changing of habits. Sherri Shepherd basiccancerchange share on social
Black people don't talk about diabetes that much. I never knew anything. I thought everyone had an uncle with a leg cut off! Sherri Shepherd blackcutdiabetes Change image and share on social
My mom passed away at 41 from diabetes. And I'm 42, thank you. I didn't want to do that to my son. So any time I was at the gym, that thing that helped me do that last squat was my son calling some other woman mommy. And that would just give me that extra oomph to do that last squat. I want to be around for him. Sherri Shepherd calldiabetesextra share on social
I'd love to have First Lady Michelle Obama over and ask, 'How do you make your marriage work?' I think the president is sexy as all get-out, but he has got to get on her nerves some kind of way. He's this wonderful, powerful man, but she sees him leaving his socks on the floor. Sherri Shepherd floorkindlady share on social
My priority is my son and my husband, and I have a lot of spinning plates, so I try to make sure they're not one of them. Sherri Shepherd husbandlotmake Change image and share on social
