My poems are political in the deeper sense of the word. Political means to live in your time, to be a man of your time.
‐‐ Yehuda Amichai
My poems - I don't even like the sound of that, in a way. Not that anyone else wrote them. But we know that only people who are really close to us care about our personal experience.
‐‐ Sharon Olds
My poems tend to be more celebratory and lyrical, and the novels so far pretty dark. Poetry doesn't seem to me to be an appropriate tool for exploring that.
‐‐ John Burnside
My poems tend to have rhetorical structures; what I mean by that is they tend to have a beginning, a middle, and an end. There tends to be an opening, as if you were reading the opening chapter of a novel. They sound like I'm initiating something, or I'm making a move.
‐‐ Billy Collins
My poems... the ones that start out as jokes become these big ponderous things and the ones that start out ponderous devolve into jokes.
‐‐ Jess Walter
My poems were just kind of all over the place. They had no focus, no location, nothing. Kind of a series of images that could have been set anywhere. A lot of the poems were just exercises for myself.
‐‐ James Welch
My poetry is the most disappointing thing for me that I've ever written. When I say I can write everything, I don't say I can write everything well.
‐‐ Jess Walter
My point has always been that, ever since the Industrial Revolution, science fiction has been the most important genre there is.
‐‐ Iain Banks
My point here is I think international pressures of our acting unilaterally again are going to be such that the administration will say, well, we just can't take this on now.
‐‐ Lawrence Eagleburger
My point is cutting spending shouldn't be reliant on the debt limit though. It's something we have to do. The good news for America is, leaders in both parties, the president, believe that we have to have significant deficit reduction. So the intent is there. And I think what America is going to demand is that our leaders come together.
‐‐ David Plouffe
My point is, if you want to achieve anything in life, it is not enough to merely wish for it. You must develop that kind of 4:30 AM discipline that distinguishes you from others.
‐‐ Armstrong Williams
My point is, no one can stop the Internet. No one can stop that march. It doesn't mean that it's going to be smooth, though.
‐‐ Michio Kaku
My point is simply this: I believe I have a calling. Do you know what that calling is? To stand up in a new and hard core, radical way for the Lord. In the process, if I insult a couple of people, if I offend a couple of people, and if I got to shake it up a little bit, as long as it is led by the Holy Spirit, amen.
‐‐ Stephen Baldwin
My point is that, over the years, I've taught five thousand people acting and lately I have a lot of energy on these kids, having the same break I had as a high school girl.
‐‐ Sally Kirkland
My point is that perceptual bias can affect nut jobs and scientists alike. If we hold too rigidly to what we think we know, we ignore or avoid evidence of anything that might change our mind.
‐‐ Martha Beck
My point is there's a hidden Scotland in anyone who speaks the Northern Ireland speech. It's a terrific complicating factor, not just in Northern Ireland, but Ireland generally.
‐‐ Seamus Heaney
My point is, there's no sense trying to squeeze something out of your swing if you can let your clubs do the shotmaking for you.
‐‐ Lee Trevino
My point is this, the Government made this decision to ban totally beef exports into Indonesia, even to compliant abattoirs and this will have enormous consequences for the beef cattle industry across Australia.
‐‐ Julie Bishop
My point of reference is life, in everything that I do.
‐‐ Howie Mandel
My point of view as a writer has to be a lot more ego-less than just like being some performer on stage with a hairdo.
‐‐ Tift Merritt
My point of view is, I'm just a person, and there are times when I look at other people and think, 'My God, they spend so much time thinking about things that seem so absurd.' But I'm sure people must think the same thing about me.
‐‐ Ian MacKaye
My point of view is if you want to move up, examine first yourself.
‐‐ Rosalyn Sussman Yalow
My point of view is that if I love a certain kind of beauty, I want more of that beauty. I don't need 200 different beauties.
‐‐ Raf Simons

‐‐ Bryan Callen

‐‐ Sachin Tendulkar
My point of view when I make a book or I make a movie is to see the humanistic point of view. The point of view of the daily life of normal people.
‐‐ Marjane Satrapi
My point was that it's hard to make good films, but I'm not under any illusion that you do all the time.
‐‐ John Cusack
My point was that removing Saddam should not have been our highest priority. Fighting terrorism should have been our number one concern, followed by the Palestinian peace process.
‐‐ Brent Scowcroft
My point was that the war was intrinsically wrong, and as a result of our participation we haven't improved Australia's security but created a greater danger at home and abroad.
‐‐ Bob Hawke
My point was very simple, and it was that it is absolutely absurd for the United States of America to continue to urge us further down the line towards a federal superstate when the U.S. has not even signed up to the U.N. Convention on Human Rights.
‐‐ Boris Johnson
My police record says I went to Panama City, but I don't recall it.
‐‐ Brantley Gilbert

‐‐ Boris Johnson
My policy was just to give good things for sports in my region.
‐‐ Sergei Bubka
My political awakening, if I can be as grand as to call it that, was all about what was happening around me. It wasn't some romantic, patriotic vision of Scotland going back to what it had been 300 years previously.
‐‐ Nicola Sturgeon
My political beliefs are my moral, quasi-religious framework.
‐‐ Ken Livingstone
My political career goes back to the '60s and those were times of vigorous debates.
‐‐ Dennis Kucinich
My political giving has merely followed my relationships.
‐‐ David Jolly
My political ideas and things like that, even my religion, I try to keep close to me because it's a personal thing, and I don't shove it down people's throats. I don't condemn any artist that wants to do that, like the Baldwins. That's their choice. But in my world, I'm just an entertainer.
‐‐ Donny Osmond
My political mission is as acute as ever. For me, in addition to kind of looking at the world and trying to engage in my society politically, having the kid around sort of makes me check in with myself. I think you're all busy trying to fix the world, but what about yourself?
‐‐ Ani DiFranco
My political science degree is always on the back-burner. I took my LSAT, so even if I want to take the LSAT again, I know what I'm getting into. I'll keep it on the back-burner. Who knows, maybe with my popularity, I can have a career in politics with a law degree. I think it'll work out either way.
